BPMDatabase.com About Us

Thank you for visiting BPMDatabase.com. We currently have indexed over 100,000 music profiles from contributors around the world and we're still growing. We hope you'll find this site useful and come back whenever you're looking for a song's BPM, or have a song's BPM to submit. This site was originally developed as a school project using a LAMP stack in 2003 but the technology has now transitioned to a Django web framework.

What is the purpose of this site?

This site was made for DJ's around the world to lookup the Beats Per Minute (BPM) of songs. Imagine needing to organize 200 of your records by Beats Per Minute one by one. To save yourself from hours of beat counting, you can just log on to BPMDatabase.com and obtain the BPM of music profiles we have. Just don't forget to submit music profiles that we do not yet have.

How can I help?

If you have records with the BPM labeled on them, please help submit profiles we do not already have. If you find this site useful, let all your fellow DJ friends know about us as well.

How do I find the BPM of a song?

There are hardware and software beat counters you can use to find the Beats Per Minute of a song. If you do not want to spend any money on a hardware beat counter, there are software beat counters you can download for free. Here is a free one: TapTempo
